General Information

We currently provide Student Educational and Academic Enrichment Activities and Student Development Programs and Activities in the following formats, as applicable:

bullet45-minute Classroom Workshops, Performance or Cultural Arts Pieces 
bullet45-minute Large Assembly or Auditorium Performance Pieces for audiences up to 250
bullet90-minute Professional Development Workshops or Workshop Series
bullet8, 10, 12, 18 or 20 Week In-School, ESL, Extended Day, After School or Saturday Arts Partnership Programs and Six-week Summer Programs

The 45 minute modules may be combined in many different ways to provide, for example, a performance followed by a “Meet the Artist” workshop, or two back to back performances of the same piece, or an extended 90-minute workshop. The programs may cover one or more of the following curricula: 
bullet

English language arts, cultural arts, 

bullet

theatre arts, music, and dance 

bullet

the media and / or visual arts 

bullet

and/or computer and digital technology applications in the classroom.

Many such programs, while using various art forms, will specifically focus on  reading, writing, listening and responding skills as part of the overall project.

Teachers are required to be present in the class at all workshops and performance pieces and teachers and teaching artists are required to meet regularly and full teacher participation is required for all  Arts Partnership programs to establish benchmarks and to measure student progress in order to evaluate the program’s effectiveness. All programs are designed to meet grade level objectives and are age-appropriate for intended students.
