History 

The Company was founded in February,1983 and incorporated in New York State on March 26th,1986, operates as a not-for-profit, public charity and is tax exempt under IRS Code 501c3.

Governance 

The Company functions with a duly elected board of directors, with each director serving two-year staggered terms. The  Board is currently configured for seven members, and there are at present, two vacancies. 

Each director is an independent, unpaid volunteer drawn from the community's business, financial, communications, arts and educational sectors. Several members of the Board also serve as unpaid officers of the Corporation, including the Company's president, vice president, secretary and treasurer.

The Company's chief operating officer is the Executive Director, who serves at the pleasure of the Board and who is responsible to the Board in all matters of policy and performance related to the operations of the Company in the fulfillment of its mission.

InCollaboration Inc. programs are supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency.
