African Dance, Drums and Percussion
Performance
The culminating performance
of the Outside-of-Schooltime (Afterschool Program) student group at PS 40Q in Jamaica, Queens,was televised twice
on QPTV (Queens Public TV) on the Cultural Caravan Show hosted by Louise Dente during the week of August 4th, 2008.
The first showing aired on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, on QPTV channel 56/84 from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM; the second
on Saturday, August 9, 2008, on QPTV channel 35/83 from 12 noon to 1:00 PM. The performance, originally taped on June
19, 2008, was the highlight of Cultural Caravan's annual "Spotlight on Youth" program. We hope that you had
the opportunity to catch this performance with your family and friends. Congratulations to all involved, especially to the
participating youth and their families who worked so hard on this project.
